Short answer: Yes. Foreigners can own a Hua Hin condo freehold within each building's 49% foreign quota. Funds must be brought in from abroad in foreign currency. A condo avoids the land-ownership limits that apply to villas.

Choosing a Hua Hin condo
Start with how you will use it. A weekend flat for Bangkok residents needs easy parking and quick check-in. A winter-season home for overseas retirees needs good air conditioning, storage and a quiet floor. An investment unit needs a building with a good reputation, steady management and a clear record of owner activity.
Beachfront buildings are the most expensive per square metre, but they are also the easiest to resell. Condo projects set a short walk back from the beach cost less and often have larger pools and gardens. Units on higher floors have better views and less noise, but check lift reliability and wind exposure.
Condo areas in and around Hua Hin
- Hua Hin town and Nong Kae: walk to markets, restaurants and the station.
- Khao Takiab and Soi 88: south of town, near the beach and the temple on the headland.
- Soi 112 and beyond: newer resort-style buildings, quieter and with more space.
- Cha-am: northern neighbour with lower prices and a Thai weekend-holiday crowd.
- Pranburi and Sam Roi Yot: remote beach condos for buyers who want peace.
Ownership and paperwork
Ask the juristic person for the current foreign-quota certificate before you pay a deposit. Confirm the unit's title deed, outstanding common fees, the sinking fund balance and whether any special levies are planned. Funds must arrive from overseas in foreign currency, and you will need the bank's confirmation document to register the transfer in your name. If you would rather have a garden and a private pool, look at Hua Hin villas, but remember the lease rules for land.
